Blog-1,292...

1,292 degrees Fahrenheit at the tip of your lips?

Friday, June 24, 2005 by digitalpeer

Ran across a random story that states:

While the smoker is inhaling, a cigarette burns at 700 degrees Celsius at the tip and around 60 degrees in the core.

Maybe I'm way off, but that's 1,292 degrees Fahrenheit which is hot enough to melt some aluminum and brass into a pot for drinking. How can a cigarette possibly get that hot.
