Clay Shirky: Institutions vs. collaboration

This is a rather interesting talk that takes some very foundational ideas from open source software development, P2P networks, and social networking and implies that these paradigms can apply to a lot more.
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

1,292 degrees Fahrenheit at the tip of your lips?

Ran across a
random story that states:
While the smoker is inhaling, a cigarette burns at 700 degrees Celsius at the tip and around 60 degrees in the core.
Maybe I'm way off, but that's
1,292 degrees Fahrenheit which is hot enough to melt some aluminum and brass into a pot for drinking. How can a cigarette possibly get that hot.
