Clay Shirky: Institutions vs. collaboration
Monday, July 14, 2008
This is a rather interesting talk that takes some very foundational ideas from open source software development, P2P networks, and social networking and implies that these paradigms can apply to a lot more.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Configuring an iptables Firewall and Gateway
Friday, August 6, 2004 by digitalpeer
Well, I used to write my own scripts to set it up. However, I've grown pretty fond of Mr. Arno's script. It's pretty dang configurable and it's well tested and secure. This always beats starting from scratch and missing a big security hole.
I was able to set it up in a matter of minutes to:
- Act as a NAT gateway.
- Forward ports to internal servers.
- Support the local DNS server and DHCP server.
Of course, it supports a whole heck of a lot more than this and it does it quite well.
